artist's statement and exhibit history

In searching for inner peace, I turn to the natural world. Many of the scenes I photograph are far removed physically, or just appear to be, from the world at large. In finding and capturing these remote, mysterious worlds I become utterly focused on the magical scene at hand. I can forget any societal constraints and be comforted by the beauty around me. I can begin to find myself in the process of losing myself.
